With the evolution of network technology – including the rollout of fiber - and changing workspace needs for the company’s 10,000+ employees, many buildings are being phased out and sold, while others are repurposed.
These transformation efforts present significant opportunities for the Belgian real estate market. By redeveloping properties, we enhance their value and usability in compliance with modern standards, such as sustainability and ESG goals.
Our mission
As real estate specialists, we want to create value for the Proximus Group by managing our diverse portfolio of over 1,500 properties in prime locations. We commit ourselves to balance environmental considerations and the optimization of state-of-the-art buildings, those housing Proximus technical and telco infrastructure as well as the office environments.

Sustainability and ESG goals
Buildings (both technical and administrative) account for approximately 20% of Proximus’ direct carbon footprint. That’s why our real estate strategy prioritizes energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction.
We replace telecom buildings with more compact units and are transitioning to renewable energy by installing heat pumps in our efforts to gradually move away from fossil fuels. On top of that, we keep investing in building renovations through improved insulation and solar energy solutions.
By aligning with Proximus’ sustainability objectives, Proximus Real Estate ensures that its operations contribute to the Group’s energy and climate goals.

Overall strategy for office spaces, technical buildings, logistics centers, and retail locations
Contract management for over 2,300 properties, including negotiations, payments, indexation and charges
Support & challenge the internal customer(s) requests to deliver workable & affordable space solutions
Building Project & Property Management
Overseeing end-to-end building projects to deliver high-quality properties within time and budget limits
Repairing and maintaining Proximus’ extensive real estate portfolio
Optimizing space usage within all Proximus Group buildings
Building Design & Expertise
Providing technical and legal expertise on property management
Handling building permits, plans, surveys and large-scale renovation projects
Defining national policies for property and space management
